I went to another meeting of the Baselphotoclub. This time we took the train to Dornach to have a look at the very impressive Goetheanum. There were some new/other people and some familiar faces, it stayed dry, we had to run for the train back and had a (or two) beer when we were back in Basel so I think a nice evening.
Meeting: Baselphotoclub – Dornach Goetheanum
Meeting: Baselphotoclub
Last Friday I went to a meeting of the Baselphotoclub. I found this club through the englishforum.ch and thought it would be cool to get out a bit, and use my camera again. I think it was a cool meeting, we ended up walking around Basel a bit, especially around the Wettsteinbrücke and then some of us got thirsty and went for a beer. I added the pics to the gallery again! (but here also an impression)
Some details of Basel
While enjoying the very nice weather here during the easter weekend I captured some (I’m sure there will be more) details of Basel. These are things that caught my attention while walking through the quiet streets of Basel.

The Tram in Milano
In August I was in Milano for a couple of days to do some sight seeing. Made some pictures, but don’t really have time now to process them.. However thought this one was a cool one, so already share it with you. (Also good to show something else then only chili plants
)
Nice tulip in Winterthur + more in gallery
Last time when I was in Winterthur again, I only took my 50mm prime plastic fantastic Canon. It gives such great sharp pics! Look at this nice pink tulip which I found in the front garden of Christine.

I made some more pics, have a look at them by clicking the thumbs below!
Webcam time lapse from clouds
Last weekend I did a small time lapse experiment. I got my old 0.1 mega pixel webcam and mounted it in front of my window. With the open source package Tilaphos I made a picture every 10 seconds during, I think 6 hours. This resulted in a huge amount of very bad quality jpgs which Tilaphos stacked together as a 25 frames per second movie. Again, the quality is really bad but I didn’t feel good letting my dslr making 2500 mirror movements just for this experiment. The result is cool I think!
Autumn in Switzerland
Last week I was in Switzerland again and we had the chance to go for a short walk. Beautiful colors because of Autumn.

Week 40 2007 – Message
This week again a word in Dutch that can be interpreted in different ways. The original word is ‘boodschap’. In dutch you say you are doing a ‘boodschap’ when taking a shit. Or it’s a message or purchase. This time I linked ‘taking a shit’ with a ‘message’. Since I don’t think you’re waiting to see a pic of a filled toilet I came up with this one. The message ‘Denk niet bij het laatste vel, “wie na mij komt, die redt het wel”‘ means something like, ‘ don’t think, the one after me will manage, when noticing you just got the last sheet of toilet paper’ . You often will find this message in Dutch toilets written on a tile, but we just wrote it on a piece of paper. (toilet message)

Week 39 2007 – My Street
Huh, my street? I’m looking at some cards you probably think. This one needs a bit more explaining then, I guess. The original assignment was in Dutch. ‘mijn straat’ which is translated, ‘my street’. But in Dutch, the ’straight’ in poker(and in some other card games) is called ‘een straat’. This is not a correct translation but somehow we use it which gave me the idea to make a pic of a straight.
